Conceptually, my work has focused on integrating contemporary psychoanalysis with infant research through a multicultural and social justice lens.
As part of the faculty at the Harris Early Childhood Mental Health Program at UCSF Benioff Children’s Hospital, I developed curriculum and trained dozens of clinicians and clinical supervisors in the Early Childhood Mental Health field.
In my private practice I am available to provide the following:
Training
Having lectured and trained at local, national, and international venues, I am available to present on the following topics:
- Attachment
- Infant Development
- Perinatal Mood Disorders
- Reflective Supervision
- Infusing Diversity into Clinical Supervision
Clinical supervision and consultation
I have provided clinical supervision since I became licensed in 1992. My consulting style is relational and psychodynamic and focuses on an in-depth exploration of case material to address countertransference and transference dilemmas, paying close attention to parallel processes. I also provide support that focuses on caregiver burnout and vicarious trauma.
Consultation for supervisors
I am available to train and mentor clinicians as they become supervisors.
Preschool consultation
I consult in various public and private preschools around program and staff development, individual children’s behavioral issues at school, and working collaboratively with parents.
